Mining, Mineral and Metal Processing 2021 - Now a Virtual Conference (*)
(*) March 10th, 2021 - The organizers have decided that the MMM 2021 will be a fully online conference. We regret that due to the Covid-19 situation we have been forced to change the planned hybrid meeting into a full online event.
The 6th IFAC Workshop on Mining, Mineral and Metal Processing, MMM 2021 for short, is a conference co-organized by Université de Lorraine (France) and ArcelorMittal Global Research & Development (Maizières Lès Metz, France) and sponsored by Centre de Recherche en Automatique de Nancy.
MMM 2021 promotes the exchange of ideas and developments in control engineering in the Mining, Mineral and Metal Processing fields.
MMM 2021 will provide a forum for professionals, researchers, and experts in mining, mineral and metal processing to review state-of-the-art in control, optimization, and automation technologies in these fields. Both academic and industrial control engineering practitioners will have the opportunity to present their work and exchange research ideas with colleagues from across the globe.
Final Extended Deadline March 30, 2021: Draft paper submission
May 4 June 7, 2021: Acceptance notification June 14
The topics of the Workshop will be in link with the scope of the Mining, Mineral and Metal Processing Technical Committee dedicated to research and development, education and technology transfer in the following fields of application: any kind of mining operation, mineral processing, production of ferrous & non-ferrous metal, ore preparation, flotation, iron making, steel making, casting, hot/cold rolling, forming, forging, heat treatment, annealing, surface treatment, galvanizing, protective coating, welding, manufacturing, assembling, metal recycling processes, waste treatment, transport, haulage, power generation & supply as well as energy and environmental issues in the MMM industry.
Specific Focus on Health-Aware Control Design Strategy, Advanced control approaches, AI methodologies, diagnosis & prognosis techniques applied in industry, industry 4.0, instrumentation and sensors will be considered.
IFAC Young Author Award
The IPC of IFAC MMM 2021 is pleased to invite nominations for the IFAC Young Author Award. The award is designed to stimulate the involvement of young scientists and engineers in IFAC, as well as to recognize top-level contributions of the younger generation in our field and to support their careers. To be eligible an age criterion the author must be a maximum 30 years old at the time of the event.
The following conditions apply:
- No self-nominations are allowed. Nominations are typically made by supervisors or reviewers.
